Dig Pink
As we turn the calendar to our first full week of October, a few highlights from wrapping up the first month of school at Warroad Elementary and the Angle School. We celebrated Orange Shirt Day, are busy with UFLI learning, had fun at the corn maze, gave some positive attendance shout-outs, and met up with our Warrior Buddies. 🌟 #TimeToShine

REMINDER- PLEASE WEAR ORANGE- September 30th

Our continuing goal is to begin the conversation, educate, and spread awareness.

September 30th is the National day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to reflect, listen and learn.

Healing, teaching and truths that can guide us, as we walk together.

"Embracing the truth is not just about the past, it is about shaping a more respectful inclusive future and the path forward."

The Native American Education Program will be having a brief assembly on September 30th, 2025

Elementary Staff & Student(s) Assembly-  8:15 AM - Elementary Gym

Highschool Staff & Student(s) Assembly- 3rd hour Advisory 10:13AM- High School Gym

  • Opening remarks, Mrs. Comstock, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Grapentine

  • Prayer and Smudge by Mr. Donald Kakaygeeick

  • Honorary Drum song and Dancers

  • Closing remarks- Native American Education Program

Why wear Orange?

Wearing orange honors and upholds the survivors that have lived and endured the unimaginable and to commemorate the 150,000 plus children that did not make it home.

Wearing Orange is a powerful emblem that shows your support and introduces the concept of " Truth and Reconciliation and the path towards healing.

The enduring truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS, today AND EVERYDAY.
