Warroad Schools will be closed today, February 27, 2024 due to inclement weather. There will be no Kid Kare, activities, or practices.
Upcoming Ribbon Skirt Workshop Feb.26-28 at Warroad High School.
Come out and create your very own Traditional Ribbon Skirt and learn the traditional teachings. Grades 6-12 students, parents and all community members, everyone is welcome!
The first 24 participants to sign-up will be accepted, you can sign-up in the Native American Education office at the school. If you have any questions please contact Danielle Smith or Shawna Grapentine at the Warroad public school.
ISD 690 students benefit every day from the leadership and vision of our school board members. February is Minnesota School Board Recognition Month, so please take time to thank these dedicated school leaders: Blayke Nelson, Laurie Thompson, Matt Schreiner, Brenda Solar, Cindy Drost, and Gus Booth.
The Native American Education Department, the American Indian Parent Advisory committee, Warroad Public Schools, and the community of Warroad would like to recognize and express our gratitude to Mr. Donald Kakaygeesick for his design and creation of the “Warroad Warrior Logo” that we proudly represent.
We would also like to thank Amy McPherson, an Indigenous artist from Manitoba, she is the creator of Fashion Ikwe Designs, an authentic Indigenous Fashion company, for her work in helping us create the Ojibwe Floral design concept for the Warroad Native American Apparel.
The Native American Department commends the amazing team collaboration, and efforts of all the artist’s, along with Shawna Grapentine, Danielle Smith, and The American Indian Parent Advisory Committee. They together created our beautiful Native American Education apparel that proudly gives back to our community. All proceeds go directly to the Native American Education Program and our Native American Students at Warroad Public School.
The generated funds provide financial support to coordinate cultural programming, provide resources, activities and events within the school and community of Warroad.
Strong supportive team efforts and collaboration reflects successful programs and events.
The Native American Education Department is very proud to educate and share the rich cultural history of Warroad and will continue to educate the history and the artist of the Warrior Logo, thank you for your continued support.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported the Native American Education apparel booth during Hockey Day Minnesota, we are overjoyed with the community love & support! All proceeds from the apparel line will go directly to the NAE program!
Apparel will still be available through our department at the school, we will also keep you updated on booth pop-up dates.

Warroad Schools will operate with a 1:00 PM early dismissal Thursday, January 25, 2024 as we prepare for Hockey Day events that begin that day. Kid Kare will be available beginning at 1:00 PM.
As we're getting back into the swing of school, a reminder for parents, families, and students of the digital applications used by Warroad High School.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Native American pop-up booth at last night's varsity game, we are overjoyed with all the wonderful compliments, congratulatory remarks and support... It was a huge success! All proceeds from each item sold goes back to the Native American program here at Warroad School.
Next pop-up booth will be during the varsity Holiday Tournament at the Gardens Arena Dec.27th
