Warroad Public Schools

Last week the elementary and middle school hosted Dan Ninham (Oneida Nation) who taught the students about various Northern Indigenous games. The highlight of the students' time with Dan was learning about baaga'adowe or Indigenous lacrosse. The students used traditional baaga'adowe sticks during their time with Dan and practiced Ojibwe words. This is the second time Dan Ninham has been invited to Warroad Schools by the American Indian Education Dept. and we look forward to hosting him again soon!
