Warroad Schools English Learners (EL) program assists students in the development of their language skills while maintaining the integrity of the linguistic and cultural identities. Our goal is to motivate and encourage students to fell successful and to foster a love of learning.

Many EL students speak English very well based on their Basic Interpersonal Communications Skills (BICS). However, it is more difficult when they have to use English to learn subject-area content. Most of the testing they experience is for the development of their Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency (CALP).
