FAQs regarding the School Closure
Activities:
Spring Sports Practices:
Mon & Tues are at coach’s discretion.
At this time, with the information we have, there will be no practices from Wed, March 18th until Mon, March 30th when the current plan is for school to reopen.
It is our understanding that we will be returning to school on the 30th, however information is changing minute by minute and as we know more we will keep you updated.
Spring Sports have been suspended until April 6th at this time.
Encourage families to register for spring sports. If for some reason a season were to be cancelled, families would be reimbursed accordingly.
All activities that are scheduled to occur in the school from Wed, March 18th thru Mon. March 30th are cancelled. No outside activities can occur in the school when the school is closed. This includes: piano/music lessons, JO Volleyball, Awana, FCA Floor Hockey, Morning Basketball, access to the weight room, gym use, etc. NO ACCESS TO THE SCHOOL WHEN CLOSED.
The Swimming Pool is also closed.
Childcare is offered for families with children ages 4-12 that are First Responders, Health Care workers, and school staff members. This is free of charge. No other KIDKARE services are available during this time.
Academics:
Remember this is NOT a vacation for us. Students and Staff will still be working during this time.
All students should have completed a survey via Schoology. If you have not done so or need assistance, please ask your teacher or come to the HS Office.
All students need to be registering for the 2020-2021 school year today and tomorrow.
All students will need to be able to access Schoology. If you need assistance, please ask your homeroom teacher.
Distance Learning is scheduled to start on Monday, March 23rd. Students will be able to access class assignments for the week via Schoology. The expectation is that you are logging in to Schoology Mon. March 23rd to collect your assignments.
At this time, the plan is for school to resume on Mon. March 30th, as we know changes are happening daily, we will keep you updated with the most current information via the school website and Schoology.
