Healthy habits are extremely important!  Neither the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or Minnesota Department of Health recommend school closure based on Influenza Like Illness more commonly called the flu.  Warroad Public Schools are aware of the illness and are working diligently to not only disinfect school spaces but to educate students and families on proper hygiene/healthy habits. If your child has influenza, keep your child home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone without fever-reducing medication.  Staying home until 24 hours fever free is key in prevention.
